Service details
What our ASN, PI and PA services include, how provisioning works, and the requirements, billing and terms that apply.
Choose sponsorship for an ASN or provider-independent (PI) address space, or rent a provider-aggregatable (PA) subnet from SnapServ. Sponsorship lets you change sponsoring LIR while keeping the same assigned resource. Rented PA space stays with SnapServ.

Prices in EUR. SnapServ currently does not charge VAT.
All-in-one bundle
€225/year
An ASN, a /48 IPv6 PI assignment for your own network, and a /40 IPv6 PA subnet for your network and customer assignments.
We can request a new ASN or arrange a change of sponsoring LIR for an existing ASN. Larger IPv6 PI assignments require justification and RIPE NCC approval. We prepare the sponsored-resource requests with you and provision the PA subnet from SnapServ’s resources.
The respective ASN, IPv6 PI and IPv6 PA usage conditions apply to each component. The bundle has one annual paid period, starting when all components are ready. If a sponsored component is rejected, we agree an alternative with you or apply the whole-bundle rejection policy below.

ASN sponsorship
€100/year
Sponsorship for a new Autonomous System Number (ASN), or a change of sponsoring LIR for your existing ASN. An ASN identifies your network’s routing policy.
A new ASN request must meet RIPE’s AS Number Assignment Policies, including multihoming and a distinct external routing policy. We help prepare the request and handle RIPE NCC correspondence. Assignment is subject to RIPE NCC approval.
You may change sponsoring LIR while remaining the resource holder.

IPv6 PI sponsorship
€125/year
Provider-independent IPv6 space for your own network, normally a /48. A larger assignment needs documented justification and RIPE NCC approval; the sponsorship price does not depend on the approved prefix size. We prepare your request and act as your sponsoring LIR. Contact us if you already hold IPv6 PI space and want to change sponsor.
PI space is for your own network, including hosted services and individual-address uses permitted under RIPE NCC’s IPv6 PI guidance. You must not subassign prefixes to customers or other external organisations. Choose PA space for customer prefix assignments.
The resource remains assigned to you when you change sponsoring LIR, subject to the required agreements and RIPE procedures. Use is subject to RIPE service-region requirements; discuss your deployment with us when preparing the request.

IPv6 PA subnet
From €25/year
/44: €25/year/43: €50/year/42: €75/year/41: €100/year/40: €125/year
Rent a subnet from SnapServ’s IPv6 allocation. You can use it for your own network and make customer assignments. SnapServ provisions the sub-allocation as an ALLOCATED-BY-LIR object in the RIPE Database.
Contact us before making assignments larger than /48 in total per customer. Keep assignments and address usage documented in the RIPE Database as required by RIPE policies. The PA acceptable-use conditions apply, including the prohibition on Tor exit nodes.
You may announce the subnet through your own upstream arrangements within the RIPE service area, subject to applicable policies and routing authorisation. The subnet remains part of SnapServ’s allocation and must be returned when the rental ends.

IPv4 PI sponsorship
€125/year
Sponsorship of an existing IPv4 PI assignment. We arrange the change of sponsoring LIR to SnapServ while you remain the resource holder. New IPv4 PI assignments are not available.
We check the existing resource information, prepare the required end-user agreement, and coordinate the change with RIPE NCC. The space remains for your own use as an end user, not for downstream customer assignments. You can subsequently change sponsoring LIR under the applicable procedures.

IPv4 PA subnet
€100/month or €1,200/year
Rent a /24 IPv4 subnet (256 addresses) from SnapServ’s resources for your network and customer assignments. SnapServ provisions a SUB-ALLOCATED PA object in the RIPE Database, allowing you to create assignments.
Keep usage and assignments documented under RIPE policies. Use within the RIPE service area requires appropriate routing authorisation and upstream arrangements. The subnet stays with SnapServ when the rental ends.
The IPv4 PA terms include acceptable-use requirements and a EUR 10 penalty for each address listed on Spamhaus ZEN when the service ends.

Requirements and provisioning
- Choose your service in the client portal and pay at checkout.
- We contact you for your personal or company details, planned use, and resource information.
- Complete identity verification through Stripe. Company registration documents may also be required. For sponsored resources, sign the end-user assignment agreement we provide electronically through Skribble.
- For sponsorship, we submit the completed request or sponsoring-LIR change to RIPE NCC and handle follow-up with you. For PA space, SnapServ provisions the subnet from its existing resources after preparation and verification.
Tell us when your customer details change. Keep your RIPE Database information accurate and current. PA customers must also document address usage and assignments according to RIPE policies. We guide you through the required information; processing time and approval depend on the request.
For PA resources, prohibited uses include spam or bulk mailing, copyright infringement, torrent directories or trackers linking to copyrighted content, denial-of-service attacks, Tor exit nodes, and unlawful activities. See the product terms.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
You pay upfront at checkout. Your paid service period begins when your resources are issued or provisioned and ready to use. Processing time does not count towards your paid period. For the all-in-one bundle, the paid period begins when all included resources are ready.
Sponsorships and the all-in-one bundle renew annually on their service anniversary. You may cancel renewal at any time before the next renewal date. Fees for a service year that has already begun remain payable and are not refunded proportionally.
To cancel your service or stop its renewal, submit a support ticket.
If you want to move sponsored resources, coordinate the change of sponsoring LIR with us.
Standalone PA services are cancellable at the end of the month. Cancellation stops future renewals; fees already paid are not refunded, including unused months of an annual prepayment, except when required by law. The bundle follows the annual sponsorship rules instead.
Rejected sponsorship requests
If a sponsorship request or change of sponsoring LIR is rejected, we will first work with you to find an acceptable alternative. If no alternative is agreed, we will cancel the affected order and refund 50% of the service fee paid for that order. We retain 50% as an application handling fee. This does not limit refunds required by law.
If a sponsored component is rejected, we will first offer an alternative arrangement for your agreement, including any changes to resources and price. If no alternative is agreed, we will cancel the whole bundle and refund 50% of the bundle fee paid. Any components already provisioned must be closed or moved under an agreed arrangement.
Paid service fees are non-refundable except for rejected sponsorship requests as described above or where required by law. See the full terms and conditions.
Resource control
- RIPE Database: your maintainer has full
mnt-bypermissions on your network objects. Keep those records accurate and current. - Sponsored IP resources: manage RPKI directly with RIPE NCC under your own account.
- Rented PA resources: manage routing authorisations through SnapServ’s custom-built RPKI panel. SnapServ holds the parent resources.
You arrange connectivity and routing with your upstream providers, including the authorisations needed to announce your address space.
