Terms and conditions

Terms for SnapServ’s services and resource sponsorship.

Last updated 2026-10-07

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services that SnapServ Mathis (hereinafter “SnapServ”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) provides to you through the client portal and the website https://snapserv.net, including all subdomains (together, the “Service”). By ordering or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms consist of the general terms on this page and the product terms below. Product terms take precedence over the general terms. For sponsored resources, the signed end-user assignment agreement takes precedence on the matters it covers. Where you have signed a separate agreement with us for a service, that agreement takes precedence over these Terms.

Unless stated otherwise, these Terms apply equally to consumers and business customers. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.

The Service

We provide administrative and registration services for Internet number resources: we act as your sponsoring LIR towards RIPE NCC for ASNs and PI assignments, and we sub-allocate PA address space from our own resources. The Service does not include IP transit, connectivity, routing or announcement of your resources. You are responsible for your network, your upstream arrangements, and how you use RPKI and routing registries.

The use of all resources is subject to the RIPE policies and RIPE NCC procedures published on the RIPE NCC website, as amended from time to time. Requests for new resources and changes of sponsoring LIR are decided by RIPE NCC.

Purchases

You must be at least 18 years old to order services. Minors may order only with the written consent of their legal representative, which we may accept at our discretion.

You order services through our client portal. Your contract is concluded when we accept your order and you have paid at checkout. You confirm that the information you provide is true, correct and complete, and that you are entitled to use the payment method you choose.

We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, in particular if the service is unavailable, if the order or its description contains an obvious error in price or content, if identity verification cannot be completed, or if fraud or an unlawful transaction is suspected. We may update the information and offers on the website at any time.

Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer and the law of your country of residence grants you a right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online, for example in the European Union, you may withdraw from your order within 14 days of the contract being concluded without giving any reason. Swiss law does not provide a right of withdrawal for online orders.

We start working on your order immediately. By ordering, you expressly request that we begin performing the Service during the withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once your resources have been issued or provisioned and are ready to use.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement before that point, by contact support or by email to support@snapserv.net. We refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the original payment method, less an amount proportionate to the work we have already carried out at your request.

Subscriptions

You pay upfront at checkout. Your paid service period begins when your resources are issued or provisioned and ready to use. Processing time does not count towards your paid period. For the all-in-one bundle, the paid period begins when all included resources are ready.

Sponsorships and the all-in-one bundle renew annually on their service anniversary. You may cancel renewal at any time before the next renewal date. Fees for a service year that has already begun remain payable and are not refunded proportionally.

Standalone PA services are cancellable at the end of the month. Cancellation stops future renewals; fees already paid are not refunded, including unused months of an annual prepayment, except when required by law. The bundle follows the annual sponsorship rules instead.

Services are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis (“Billing Cycle”), depending on the service and the billing option you select. At the end of each Billing Cycle, your service renews automatically under the same conditions unless you or we cancel it.

To cancel your service or stop its renewal, submit a support ticket.

You can pay by card, PayPal or bank transfer. Keep your billing information in the client portal accurate and complete. If you save a payment method with our payment providers through the client portal, you authorise us to charge your renewal fees to it. If an automatic payment fails, or you pay manually, we issue an electronic invoice with a due date.

Late payment and suspension

If an invoice remains unpaid after its due date, we remind you and try to agree on a solution with you. We consider each case individually, including your payment history. If payment remains outstanding, we may suspend or terminate the affected service after giving you written notice with a final deadline. For PA space, suspension may include withdrawing route objects and RPKI ROAs. If the service is terminated, the end-of-service rules apply.

Fee Changes

We may change the fees for our services. Any fee change takes effect at the end of the current Billing Cycle. We notify you reasonably in advance so that you can cancel before the change takes effect. If you continue the service after the change takes effect, the new fee applies.

Refunds

Except for the rejected sponsorship orders described below, or when required by law, paid Subscription fees are non-refundable.

If a sponsorship request or change of sponsoring LIR is rejected, we will first work with you to find an acceptable alternative. If no alternative is agreed, we will cancel the affected order and refund 50% of the service fee paid for that order. We retain 50% as an application handling fee. This does not limit refunds required by law.

For the all-in-one bundle, the bundle provisions apply.

Accounts

Keep your account information accurate, complete and current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account. Do not disclose your password to third parties, and notify us immediately if you become aware of a security breach or unauthorised use of your account.

Communication

We send notices about your services, invoices and these Terms by email to the address in your client-portal account. Keep that address current and check it regularly. If neither we nor RIPE NCC can reach you, RIPE policies may lead to your sponsored resources being returned to RIPE NCC.

Abuse

You must keep a working abuse contact (abuse-c) for your resources in the RIPE Database and respond to abuse reports within a reasonable time. We forward abuse reports that we receive about your resources. If abuse is serious, or is not resolved within a reasonable time, we may suspend the affected service, for PA space including by withdrawing route objects and RPKI ROAs, or terminate it for good cause.

To report abuse of resources we manage, including copyright infringement, email abuse@snapserv.net with a detailed description.

Indemnification

You indemnify us against third-party claims, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your unlawful use of the resources or your culpable breach of these Terms.

Termination

You may cancel your services as described in Subscriptions. To close your account, contact support .

We may suspend or terminate a service with immediate effect for good cause, in particular if you materially breach these Terms, provide false information, cause abuse or fail to resolve it, do not pay as described in Late payment and suspension, or if RIPE NCC or a competent authority requires it. Otherwise, we may terminate a service with at least 90 days’ written notice and refund the unused part of any prepaid fees proportionally.

End of service

When a service ends for any reason, the following applies:

  • Sponsored resources (ASN, IPv4 PI, IPv6 PI): you remain the resource holder. Before the service ends, either arrange a change of sponsoring LIR to another LIR or a direct contract with RIPE NCC, or ask us to return the resources to RIPE NCC. If neither has happened when the service ends, we inform RIPE NCC that our sponsorship has ended, and RIPE NCC may deregister the resources and return them to its free pool under its policies and procedures.
  • PA space (IPv4 PA, IPv6 PA): the space remains part of our allocation; you cannot keep it or transfer it to another provider. Stop announcing the space and remove your assignments before the service ends. We then remove the related RIPE Database objects, route objects and RPKI ROAs and may reassign the space.
  • All-in-one bundle: each component follows the rule for its resource type.

Additional Terms of Service

By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our product-specific Terms and Conditions listed below this paragraph, which are grouped by the name of the product they are referring to. These additional Terms and Conditions extend our base Terms listed on this page and are subject to the same guidelines and policies.

Shared resource requirements

These requirements apply to all resource services, including each component of the all-in-one bundle:

  • Provide the required personal or company information and complete identity verification through our partner Stripe. Company registration documents may also be required.
  • Notify us of changes to your customer data.
  • Keep all your RIPE Database information accurate and up to date.
  • For sponsored resources, sign the end-user assignment agreement we provide electronically through our partner Skribble. Requests and changes of sponsoring LIR are subject to applicable RIPE policies and procedures.

PA acceptable use

For IPv4 and IPv6 PA resources, including PA space in the bundle:

  • Document address space usage properly according to the official RIPE guidelines.
  • You must not use these ranges for any forbidden activities, including but not limited to:
    • Any form of spamming or bulk mailing
    • Copyright infringing activities
    • Torrent directories or trackers linking to copyrighted content
    • Denial of Service attacks
    • Tor exit nodes
    • Utilizing the service in any manner that violates applicable law.

IPv4 PA subnet

  • You will receive a SUB-ALLOCATED PA object in the RIPE Database, which offers you the ability to create your own assignments.
  • The shared resource requirements and PA acceptable-use conditions apply.
  • When the service ends, you must pay a penalty of EUR 10 for each address in your subnet that is listed on Spamhaus ZEN (zen.spamhaus.org). Listings that already existed when we provided the subnet to you are excluded. We waive the penalty for addresses that are delisted within 30 days after the service ends.
  • Standalone service is cancellable at the end of the month. No refunds are offered for fees already paid, including unused months of annual prepayment, except when required by law.

IPv6 PA subnet

  • You will receive an ALLOCATED-BY-LIR object of your ordered size in the RIPE Database, which offers you the ability to create your own assignments.
  • You must not make assignments larger than /48 in total per customer without contacting us.
  • The shared resource requirements and PA acceptable-use conditions apply.
  • Standalone service is cancellable at the end of the month. No refunds are offered for fees already paid, including unused months of annual prepayment, except when required by law. When included in the bundle, the bundle provisions govern billing, cancellation and rejected requests.

IPv6 PI sponsorship

  • You will receive an IPv6 PI assignment from RIPE NCC with us as your sponsoring LIR, subject to approval, or we will arrange an agreed change of sponsoring LIR for your existing assignment.
  • The space is for your own network as an end user. You must not subassign prefixes to customers or other external organisations. Hosted services and uses of individual addresses remain subject to RIPE NCC’s IPv6 PI guidance.
  • The shared resource requirements apply.
  • You remain responsible for the resource and may change sponsoring LIR under the applicable procedures.
  • The annual service-anniversary and cancellation rules in Subscriptions and the rejection policy in Refunds apply.

ASN sponsorship

  • You will receive an ASN assignment from RIPE NCC with us as your sponsoring LIR, subject to approval, or we will arrange a change of sponsoring LIR for your existing ASN.
  • The shared resource requirements apply.
  • You remain responsible for the ASN and may change sponsoring LIR under the applicable procedures.
  • The annual service-anniversary and cancellation rules in Subscriptions and the rejection policy in Refunds apply.

IPv4 PI sponsorship

  • We act as sponsoring LIR for your existing IPv4 PI assignment. You remain the resource holder. New IPv4 PI assignments are not available.
  • The space is for your own use as an end user, not for downstream customer assignments.
  • The shared resource requirements apply.
  • You remain responsible for the resource and may change sponsoring LIR under the applicable procedures.
  • The annual service-anniversary and cancellation rules in Subscriptions and the rejection policy in Refunds apply, including when a requested change of sponsoring LIR is rejected.

All-in-one bundle

The ASN sponsorship, IPv6 PI sponsorship, and IPv6 PA subnet usage conditions apply to their respective components. The bundle has one annual paid period, beginning when all included resources are ready. The annual sponsorship renewal and cancellation rules apply to the whole bundle.

If a sponsored component is rejected, we will first offer an alternative arrangement for your agreement, including any changes to resources and price. If no alternative is agreed, we will cancel the whole bundle and refund 50% of the bundle fee paid. Any components already provisioned must be closed or moved under an agreed arrangement.

Refunds required by law are unaffected.

Disclaimer

We perform our services with due care. We cannot guarantee that RIPE NCC approves a request, or that your resources are reachable, accepted by other networks, free from blocklist entries, or located correctly in third-party geolocation databases. To the extent permitted by law, we give no further warranties, and the Service, including the website and the client portal, is provided “as is” and “as available”.

Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and wherever mandatory law excludes a limitation.

Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, including lost profits, loss of data, or network downtime. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage. We are not liable for decisions or actions of RIPE NCC, such as rejections, deregistrations, or changes to policies or fees, for third parties such as upstream providers, other networks, blocklist operators and geolocation providers, or for events beyond our reasonable control.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. For business customers, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Münchenstein, Switzerland. For consumers, the places of jurisdiction provided by mandatory law apply.

We may transfer our contract with you to a successor that continues our services, for example if our business changes its legal form. We will notify you of such a transfer.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with any agreements described above that take precedence over them, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.

Changes

We may change these Terms. We notify you by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Changes to your disadvantage apply to an existing service from its next renewal, unless they are required by law or RIPE policy. If you do not agree, you may cancel the service before its next renewal.
